PETA said the shift supports animal welfare and helps mills meet demand for ethically sourced sugar products.

They committed to avoiding live elephants in films, series and advertisements, encouraging creators to use alternatives such as mechanical elephants, CGI and VFX for cruelty-free storytelling.
